One of our favourite campsites near Sydney. Very unique spot right at the beach. Bathrooms were always clean. Modern facilities. Check in was super easy and uncomplicated. Local bowls club and RSL in walking distance. Super fun!
Racists and rude.
My family has been regulars for almost a decade. However, ever since there was a change in ownership we have only encountered hostility. We had booked this year, like every year. Fully paid for the 2 week duration we had rightfully booked. Due to a family member having a stoke we dropped our caravan off and decided to return to set up camp after the unexpected turn of events. We had paid for our full 2 week stay. So we saw no issue in leaving our caravan for 1 -2 days to assist with the family member who had a stroke. Fast forward to 2 days after, the lady has been calling us threatening us to tow our caravan and harassing us on phone. Stating “how dare we park our caravan and leave it”. Mind you it has only been 2 days since it left there… hardly enough time for the reaction we received. We a greatly disappointed in her manner and rudeness. However she has only been more than lovely to white families. Even if we had decided to drop the caravan, we rightly paid for our stay and we’re disgusted with the manner in which they approached the situation. At no point did they bother to understand why we were unable to set up at our camping spot within the day of arrival. More so, we paid. Why does it matter? Does a hotel threaten to remove you from the premises if you don’t stay there every single day ? Never. It’s not their business. Unless of course you’re posing a nuisance to the people around you. However, we have not been a nuisance. We simply had our caravan in our assigned spot for 1-2 days.
We had the unfortunate experience of having to stay here this week. Coming back from Northern NSW our HipCamp site had been flooded and was too muddy for tent camping, we messaged friends we had met at a previous campsite and travelled 2 hours to meet them. We tried contacting the camp site via phone multiple times well before we arrived and were only able to get in contact with the owner after calling their private number and messaging. Very rude and abrupt women that should not be in customer service. Were not given the access code to facilities and wouldn’t have used them if we had as they were visibly dirty and trash everywhere. 0 Stars. New owners should be ashamed of themselves. Find other accommodations (or try HipCamp)
So friendly, so clean, so organised. What a top spot. Pitched my tent and relaxed in the friendly environment.
Coledale camp reserve is definitely one of our favourite places to stay! Thankyou so much to Nicole Roger & Jill with their very friendly nature & kindness who are very good at what they do.
This Beautiful spot is like being on your own private beach!
Unfortunately I did not know beforehand the showers were timed at 3 minutes and then you need to wait 1 minute in the freezing cold. If I had known, I would have never booked here. This is so customer unfriendly. We paid $30 in low season for an unpowered spot so at least we would have expected a normal shower.
Absolutely stunning spot. Basic facilities including the kitchen. Also stunningly rude service by the lady I talked on the phone. Booking is only online or on the phone however no answer on either phone numbers provided after 4pm. We stayed the night as there were multiple empty sites and called to pay in the morning. I got told off for not leaving a message (mind you we could have just driven away). You also have to provide your credit card details over the phone then hope it won't get used for any other payments, bit weird.
Public toilet was disgusting.
Nice little beach does not get crowded, kids love it and good for picnics
